1. AP Govt Extends Amma Vodi Scheme to Inter Students
The Andhra Pradesh government has taken another crucial decision. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a review meeting with the education department officials on Thursday. Having already announced to modernise the government schools in the state and revamp the education system, YS Jagan announced the extension of Amma Vodi Scheme to the Intermediate students as well.
2. 3 From AP Die Every Two Days In Gulf: MEA Report
A report by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) revealed that every two days, three persons from Andhra Pradesh die in Gulf countries mostly due to illnesses, suicides and road accidents. Statistics show that in the past three years, 1,656 workers from the state died in Gulf, with most number of deaths reported in Kuwait, followed by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Over the past five years, the number of people visiting Vijayawada and the state capital region has increased manifold due to the administration moving here. These visitors, even if they had visited the region earlier, find themselves disoriented due to the changes that the capital region has gone through almost overnight.

A 3rd century AD Buddhist relic was found on the right bank of the river Gundlakamma in Prakasam district, said archaeologist and Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA), CEO, E. Sivanagi Reddy on Wednesday. Dr Reddy credited the find to the information provided by a historian of Prakasam district, Dr Jyothi Chandramouli.

A man, posing as a girl for nearly two years on Facebook, fleeced Rs 4 lakh from his victim and was finally arrested by cyber crime police of Vizag from his house in Kakinada on Wednesday. Cybercrime inspector V. Gopinath said that K. Jagadeesh, 23, introduced himself as Sandhya to J. Maheswara Rao, 23, of Vizag. Maheswara Rao believed the tale and fell in love with the fake profile.
