Sankranti holidays in Andhra Pradesh schools will be from January 10 to 19.

Local holidays in some districts due to rainfall will not affect the official holiday schedule.

The announcement ensures clarity for students, parents, and schools regarding the Sankranti Holidays.

The schools across Andhra Pradesh are set to observe Sankranti holidays from January 10 to 19, as announced by SCERT Director Krishna Reddy. The schedule is in line with the 2024–25 academic calendar, ensuring uniformity across all institutions in the state.

The Director addressed recent speculations about revised holiday dates, such as January 11–15 or January 12–16, which were attributed to local disruptions caused by heavy rains in certain districts. He categorically denied these claims, emphasizing that there will be no changes to the official holiday calendar.

Furthermore, Krishna Reddy urged the public and school communities to rely only on verified information and to refrain from believing or spreading misleading reports on social media. He reiterated that the government is committed to maintaining transparency and consistency in academic schedules.

The announcement brings clarity amidst rumors and ensures that students, parents, and schools can plan their celebrations for the much-awaited Sankranti festival without confusion. Sankranti, a major festival in Andhra Pradesh, is celebrated with great fervor, marking the harvest season and fostering cultural traditions.
