Tollywood actress Poonam Kaur's tweet comparing Andhra Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh in terms of developmet and firm leadership. UP CM Yogi Adityanath is doing remarkable governance and administration. Drawing parallels between UP CM Yogi and AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sparked a new debate just before the state's important elections on May 13.

Known for her talent and frequent sensational statements, Poonam Kaur has been relatively inactive in films in recent years. Occasionally, she makes headlines by targeting prominent personalities and expressing her political opinions. Interestingly, she had recently praised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for supporting handloom workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kaur's latest tweet has sparked a fresh buzz, with many interpreting it as a criticism of the current political situation in Andhra Pradesh. The comparison to Uttar Pradesh, which has often been criticized for issues related to law and order, communal tensions, and crimes against women, has raised eyebrows.

Despite the sensational tweet, Poonam Kaur has expressed appreciation for CM Jaganmohan Reddy and the development initiatives implemented by the state government. She has often praised the welfare programs and beneficiary schemes aimed at uplifting the poor in Andhra Pradesh.

The tweet arrives at a time when the ruling YSRCP party, led by CM Jaganmohan Reddy, is expected to regain power.  On the other hand, the opposition alliance consisting of TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP has been struggling with internal disputes and conflicts. Conflicts over ticket allocation have sparked widespread protests and property damage within the alliance. The infighting and turmoil within the opposition ranks have drawn parallels to the situation in Uttar Pradesh, fueling Kaur's controversial comparison.
