ZPTC, MPTC elections in AP on 6 April

Panchayat elections in the state will be held on April 6.  

State election commission on Monday issued a notification with the election dates.  

Nominations to be received from March 17-20.  

Scrutiny of nominations will be done on March 21.  

Last date for withdrawal of nominations is March 24.  

Polling to be held on April 6.  

Re-polling to be done on April 7.  

Counting of votes to be done on April 8.  

The election commission has said that EVMs will not be employed, instead ballot boxes will be used.  

As per reports, some IAS officials are appointed as election observers in 22 districts.
