YS Jagan appeals for time to speak
Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday appealed to Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao to allow him to speak on public problems for 30 minutes.
However, the Speaker said it was not possible to give time to the leader of Opposition. Jagan had offered to wait till Finance Minister Yanamala and Whip Kalva Srinivasulu complete their respective speeches. However, the speaker said he had already given enough time to the YSRCP leader and would look into it later.
Jagan had on Tuesday alleged that the voice of the Opposition was being muzzled and said “We will not hesitate to move a “No-Confidence Motion” against the Speaker if the undemocratic situation continues unabated.”
The YSRCP chief also said that never in the history of country was a leader of opposition not given mike to express protest before staging a walkout.
