Woman gangraped, murdered in Machilipatnam
A woman was gangraped and murdered in Machilipatnam in Krishna district. The incident came light lately.
Some persons took Swarna Latha, the victim, to the outskirts of the town in an autorickshaw on June 12.
Police said that the woman knew Srinivas even before her marriage with another person. The woman used to provide money to Srinivas in the past.
She got married about three years ago and they have a son too. The couple were living in Visakhapatnam city.
When Swarna Latha came to Machilipatnam with her son recently, Srinivas asked her money. Srinivas took her and her son to the area in Machilipatnam and took away her jewellery. After that, all of them raped and killed her.
After the family members complained to the police, the matter came into limelight.
The police arrested three persons, including the main culprit Srinivas, related to the case.
