Mandali Buddha Prasad is going to be the deputy speaker of Andhra Pradesh assembly.

The name of Gollapalli Surya Rao was strongly heard for the post till Friday morning. But, the final chance was given to Buddha Prasad by the TDP leadership.

Whatever be the reason, the MLA from Avanigadda in Krishna district got the chance to be the deputy to Kodela Siva Prasada Rao.

He worked as a minister too in Dr.Y.S.Raja Sekhar Reddy government.

With the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Prasad left Congress and joined TDP.

The 58 year old Prasad also worked as the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission till recently.

He filed his nomination papers for the same on Friday. If necessary, the election will be held on June 23.
