Vistadome coaches for Araku train

Visakhapatnam: One of the most favoured tourist destination Araku might soon have a vistadome train. Vistadome trains are like Volvo Buses and have bigger windows on the sides and on the top offering a good view of the area. The Vistadome coaches could give the tourists an unforgettable experience as the train crosses 58 tunnels and over 84 bridges en route.

The vistadome coaches are costlier and cost about Rs 30 lakh compared to normal coaches. The 108 chair-car coaches are fully airconditioned and the cost of the ticket could be around Rs 300 to Rs 400.
If all goes well, the Vistadome coaches could be delivered by July this year. The only hitch in the whole scheme is about the safety as this is a Maoist affected area.
