TDP MLC offers to resign so Lokesh can step into Assembly - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: Taking note of the growing clamour in the party circles to bring Nara Lokesh into the state Assembly, Buddha Venkanna, a TDP MLC offered to sacrifice his seat in order to make way for Lokesh to subsequently replace him.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, Venkanna revealed that he would meet the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday and offer his resignation, with a demand to bring Lokesh into the AP state assembly.

Venkanna also offered a word of counsel for their political ally BJP. He said that if any BJP members were aggrieved about any matter, they must first take it up with the leadership and not go about badmouthing their ally from political platforms as certain members have done.

He accused BJP leaders D.Purandeshwari, Kanna Laxminarayana and Somu Veerraju of speaking against the TDP chief and pointed out that it was only due to the charisma of Chandrababu Naidu that BJP was able to win four seats. It was not right to make an agenda of criticising the TDP, he said.
