Vijayawada: Amidst chaos that erupted after the release of 'Vangaveeti', a biopic on the Kapu leader who was brutally murdered by his political opponents in 1988, his son and YSR Congress Party leader Vangaveeti Radhakrishna aka Radha warned the film's director Ram Gopal Varma that he will have to pay the price for his misleading movie.

After paying tributes to Ranga on his 28th death anniversary, Radha said the movie is totally misleading and derogatory. "The basic facts such as when Ranga was elected and how he got married were also depicted wrongly in the movie," he said adding that the director stooped to low levels just to make money with his meaningless movie. “Ranga got elected in 1985 in spite of a strong sympathy wave of NTR after his bartharaf,” he said adding that the movie showed it wrongly as Ranga won in 1983.

“He is playing with the lives of all of us,” Radha said and warned that Varma will pay the price for his mavericks. Varma was told to remove certain objectionable portions in the movie, but he kept them intact, he remarked. We have lodged a complaint with the police, but I will show him what could be the price for his mistake, Radha warned.
