Release Srisailam Water For Rayalaseema: YS Jagan
Pulivendula: YSR Congress Party president and Opposition Leader YS Jaga Mohan Reddy on Monday lambasted Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his anti-farmer policies.
Participating in a Maha Dharna at the Mandal office in Pulivendula, YS Jagan said Chandrababu is ruling the state entirely with a commercial outlook without any concern for the farmers' problems. "Chandrababu Naidu is only concerned with taking away farmers' land for his own benefit, but he never discussed the irrigation issues of Rayalaseema in the cabinet," he said.
All the claims Chandrababu is making are false, YS Jagan said and pointed out that if the Pattiseema project was of any use, why is Rayalaseema not getting water so far. Had Gandikota project been constructed instead, all areas of Rayalaseema region would have received sufficient irrigation by now, he said.
YS Jagan demanded the government to issue GOs allowing the use of Srisailam water in Rayalaseema immediately.
