Liquor Prices Hike In Telangana
Hyderabad: The Telangana State government has hiked the liquor prices by nearly 10-30 per cent on Monday. According to the revised prices, a quarter of liquor will now cost Rs 20 more, whereas the premium brand liquor prices have been hiked by Rs 40.
In regard with beer, the state government has increased the prices by Rs 20 to Rs 30. The revised prices on Whiskey, Brandy Rum and Beer came into immediate effect.
However, the wine dealers have been told to sell the stock bought at old prices. The stock, which will be bought after Wednesday (18/December/2019) will be sold with the revised rates.
A 90ML price has been hiked by Rs 10, a quarter by Rs 20, half bottle by Rs 40 and full bottle by Rs 80, according to the latest prices. Prices of some premium brands (full bottle) has been hiked by Rs 150.
The state government had earlier decided to constitute a Cabinet Sub Committee in regard with hiking liquor prices, however, no such committee was formed.
Meanwhile, the Excise Department officials have informed that the new stock to the wine shops from the depots will be given from Wednesday.
