Best Tehsildar Awardee Arrested For Accepting Bribe

Hyderabad:Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths arrested MRO Lavanya as her name had come up in connection with a case of bribary. The police recovered a huge amount of cash and gold from her resident on Thursday.

Kodargu VRO Ananthaiah was caught red-handed while collecting Rs 4 lakh from a farmer, by ACB officials. He admitted that he took bribe from the farmer on the instructions of Keshampeta MRO Lavanya. The Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths carried out searches at her residence in Himayathnagar and recovered Rs 93.4 lakhs and 400 gms of Gold on Wednesday.

Ironically she has been awarded as best Tehsildar in the state. Her Husband is said to be on the run
