TV9 Ravi Prakash Comes Out Of Hiding, Appears For Investigation
Hyderabad: Former TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash who went into hiding following several cases slapped against him finally appeared before the Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad on Tuesday. This comes in the wake of Supreme Court direction that Ravi Prakash must attend for investigation as per the norms of Section 41A of IPC.
Despite being summoned twice, Ravi Prakash and actor Sivaji did not present themselves before the investigation sleuths of Hyderabad. Ravi Prakash went to High Court and then to Supreme Court seeking anticipatory bail. As High Court failed to admit his petition on two occasions, he knocked on the doors of apex court. The apex court said it cannot admit his anticipatory bail and in turn directed the High Court of Telangana to admit and hear his petition on June 10. It also instructed the Hyderabad Police to give at least 48 hours’ notice to Ravi Prakash if it were to arrest him.
Alanda Media which took over TV9 accused Ravi Prakash of forging documents and creating fake papers. While notices were served to actor Sivaji, chief financial officer of TV9 Murthy, and Ravi Prakash himself, only Murthy appeared before the investigating officers so far.
