Inter Results Fiasco: BJP Calls For State-Wide Bandh On May 2

BJP State president K Laxman - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: BJP State president K Laxman didn't back down from using strong words while responding to the discrepancies in the Intermediate evaluation process.

Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's government destroyed the future of lakhs of students, he demanded the state government to take responsibility for the suicides of 20 Intermediate students.

Faulting the Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy for not even holding a review meeting before the exams were held nor after the results were declared, the BJP President questioned the Minister's competence further accusing him of ruining the lives and careers of nearly 10 lakh students.

Claiming that all the competitive examinations held in the State in the recent past have been surrounded with controversies, he said that discrepancies have been observed in all examinations from TPPSC Group 2 to Group 4.

Mr Laxman revealed that they will be holding a round table meeting with parents and intellectuals in Hyderabad on April 29 and would gather at Pragathi Bhavan on April 30 seeking their demands to be fulfilled.

He further warned to call for a state-wide bandh on May 2 in case their demands are not fulfilled.
