Nama Nageswara Rao Joins TRS
Hyderabad: Nama Nageswara Rao, who resigned from the Telugu Desam party has joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party in the presence of party working president KT Rama Rao on Thursday.
He met TRS president and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekar Rao at his residence on Monday. Mr Rao tendered his resignation letter to TDP Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday, ending his association of almost 15 years with the party.
Besides Nama Nageswara Rao, TDP leaders Baby Swarna Kumari, Amarnath Babu, Atluri Ramadevi and Brahmaiah also joined the TRS. Minister Srinivas Gowda and Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay along with several TRS leaders were seen in attendance. Nama Nageswara Rao is set to contest for TRS from Khammam Lok Sabha seat.
Nama Nageswara Rao lost to TRS candidate Puvvada Ajay Kumar from the Khammam assembly segment in the recent assembly elections.
