Killer Held Minutes Before Murder

Hyderabad: Telangana police arrested a man on Friday evening just before he was set to commit a murder in Cherlapally, Secunderabad.

According to police, Kushaiguda police constable Chakrapani Reddy, who was duty patrol, received information that two people were quarreling at EC Nagar in Cherlapally. He rushed to spot and found a person with a fire arm, trying to kill another.

It has been identified that one with fire arm is Gajaraj Singh, and he was trying to kill D Tulasi Babu, vegetable vendor over a petty issue. Even as the police was in the spot Gajaraj fired a bullet on Tulasi Babu. Thanks to presence of mind by constable Chakrapani, the fire went into air. Gajaraj has been arrested, his weapon along with four live rounds were seized.

Appreciating the efforts of the constable, Rachakonda Police Commissioner rewarded Chakrapani with Rs 10,000.
