Teacher pays up Rs 50 K for pinching student's cheeks
Teachers, don't pinch the cheeks of your students. That may turn out to be quite costly as a teacher in Chennai-based Kesari School learnt.
A teacher in Chennai has been asked to pay a fine of Rs 50000 for pinching her student's cheeks. The boy's parents alleged that the boy suffered injuries due to the pinching by the teacher.
The school was directed to pay a fine of Rs 1000 on the basis of the complaint filed by the mother of the boy with the state human rights commission.
After the boy suffered injuries, the boy's mother approached the school for a transfer certificate (TC). But the management of the school delayed the processing and she took up the matter to the High Court which asked the teacher to pay a fine of Rs.50,000
