'Chandrababu govt responsible for faction murders'

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Raghuveera Reddy accused the ruling TDP of promoting factionism in the state.

He said both the rival factions are now in the TDP, he pointed out.

Speaking at the district-level meeting of the party in Anantapur on Thursday, he said that TDP leaders  were worse than pickpockets.

“TDP leaders are serving only rich people. During the 1999-2004 period, Chandrababu government was responsible for the murder of several Congress activists,” said Raghuveera.

He sought to know why the TDP has deleted its election manifesto from the party website.

“Chandrababu had said that he would waive off crop loans. Now, he has waived off his promises,” quipped the former minister.
