TDP MLA Brahmanaiah passes away


Avanigadda MLA and TDP leader Ambati Brahmanaiah, 73, died after prolonged illness on Sunday. He died at Global Hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment.

He is survived by a son and three daughters. Brahmanaiah, a native of Vakkapatlavaripalem in Nagayalanka mandal of Krishna district, created himself a strong place in the politics by growing from village level. He began his political career as ward member to level of Member of Parliament.

He was elected to Assembly in 1994 from Machilipatnam and later elected to Parliament in 2004 from Machilipatnam. He was MLA from Avanigadda from 2009. He made relentless efforts for the cause of farmers in Diviseema.
