Sunstroke Deaths: Telugu states appear before HC
Hyderabad: The two Telugu State Governments on Monday informed the High Court that they have taken necessary steps to save lives during the ensuing heat wave. AP advocate general P Venugopal told High Court that the 12 Noon to 3 PM has been declared as rest time for the labourers.
Telangana Lawyer A Sanjeev kumar said that Telangana Government has already issued guidelines to its concerned authorities for taking preventive measures in view of the sweltering heat.
Keeping in view of soaring mercury, summer vacations have been advanced for schools in the State.
The High Court also directed both the State Governments to compensate the kin of those who died due to sunstroke.
