Vijayawada: Girls surpassed boys in the Intermediate results which were released on Tuesday. While 74.46 percent of girls passed the final year exams, boys lagged behind with 71.12 percent. In first year too, 72.09 percent girls passed while 64.20 percent boys cleared their exams.

Kirshna district has ranked first place in both the years and Nellore district got second place in second year and Visakhapatnam got second position in first year results.

Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh results have been released on Tuesday. AP HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao released the first and second year results of Intermediate in Vijayawada. In second year, 3,03,934 students have passed out of total 4,11,941 students appeared for the exam and 3,18,300 have passed out of 4, 67,747 students appeared for the first year exam.

Inter 2nd year results:

  •  Total pass percentage: 73.78
  •  Girls percentage: 74.46
  •  Boys percentage: 71.12
  •  Grade wise percentages: A-Grade: 57.46% (1,74,649), B-Grade: 27.77% (84407), C-Grade: 11.14%(33,864)and D-Grade: 3.62% (11,014)
  •  Total appeared: 4,11,941
  • Passed: 3,03,934
  •  Krishna district ranked first followed by Nellore.

First Year Results:

  •  Total pass percentage: 68.05
  • Girls percentage: 72.09
  • Boys percentage: 64.20
  •  Grade wise percentages: A-Grade: 58.00%, B-Grade: 25.85%, C-Grade: 11.18% and D-Grade: 4.73%
  •  Total appeared: 4,67,747
  •  Passed: 3,18,300
  •  Krishna district ranked first followed by Visakhapatnam.

Grades are assigned as follows:
A-Grade---Above 75% marks, B-Grade--- 60-75%, C-Grade--- 50-60% marks and D-Grade--- 35-50% marks.
This year has seen a little bit increase in the pass percentage than last year.
Supplementary Exams will be held from May 24 and last date for payment of exam fee is April 26.
