Sub-Inspector Harasses Woman Seeking Sexual Favors, SP Asks Him To Go On Leave 

Nuzvid: Another incident of sexual harassment from a sub-inspector came to light in Nuzvid town in Krishna district after the victim lodged a complaint with the District Superintendent of Police. Ironically, the SP is learnt to have chided the SI and asked him to go on leave for a few days.

Recently, a sub-inspector attached to Hanuman Junction police station in the town was suspended for harassing a beautician. After an inquiry ordered by higher officials, SI Vijay Kumar is found to have an extra-marital affair with the woman. Later, the SI was suspended.

Even as the incident was fresh in public memory, another Sub-Inspector started harassing a woman in the town. He repeatedly called the victim and sought sexual favors. Dejected by the SI's behavior, the victim recorded the phone conversation and lodged a complaint with the SP. The senior cop is trying to subside the issue by asking the SI to go on leave, alleged the victim.
