Students disgusted with the heartless government's initiatives
The ongoing Deeksha of Vijayamma at Eluru to protest against cap on fee reimbursement in engineering colleges has gained momentum. The honourary president of YSRC has garnered immense support from students, volunteers, social groups, political leaders and parents alike.
While thousands of students are actively participating in the Y.S.Vijayamma's fee deeksha, thousand others are travelling from other places to join the protest that entered the second day today. A sea of people has gathered expressing their solidarity with Vijayamma in the battle against the injustice meted out to students.
Students alleged that Chief Minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy and TPD president have done nothing to the students. Instead, they are trying to dilute the schemes devised by the late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
One of the students participating in the hunger strike said that the present government is creating unrest among students and their parents.
“The government is heartless about the plight of students and really not bothered about their future." Students expressed their displeasure over the government's delay in starting the counselling to provide admission to students in engineering colleges.
Meanwhile, the YSRCP honorary president has demanded that the present government continue the fee reimbursement as it is. "The government behaves as if it's spending money for the welfare schemes from its own pocket," said Vijayamma.
