SIMI activists were killed in an encounter on October 31 - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana police disclosed that four SIMI activists of eight killed in an encounter in Madhya Pradesh last week had their secret meetings done in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada for planning their activities.

The SIMI activists who were caught in February this year during interrogation confided that Visakhapatnam was an ideal spot from them ever since they escaped Khandwa jail in 2013.

Apart from Vizag, Vijayawada, SIMI activists visited Rajahamundry, Sanga Reddy in Medak district and several other places in both the Telugu states

The accused SIMI activists - Sheik Mahboob, Amjad Khan, Zakir Hussain, Mohammed Salik - were brought to Nalgonda from Orissa on a prison transit.

Though Orissa was where they had headquarters, they chose to move to locales in other states for plotting their pans. And the slain activists considered Visakhapatnam as safe because it was near to Orissa.

Apart from Vizag, Vijayawada, SIMI activists visited Rajahamundry, Sanga Reddy in Medak district and several other places in both the Telugu states.
