2 Injured After Leaking Gas Cylinder Explodes In Vijayawada  

A man and a girl were injured when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in their house in Sundaraiah Nagar in Vijayawada on Thursday morning. The leaking cylinder blasted due to electricity spark when Padma Rao switched on his computer at around 4am. Other family members who were sleeping sustained minor injuries.

The impact was felt in the entire neighborhood and four adjoining houses and a car were damaged partially. Padma Rao is a pastor in a church and his housemaid Jyotsna is also seriously injured in the explosion. All the walls collapsed and household items were broken into pieces.

The injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital. It took hours for the firefighters and police to put out the fire.
