SFI team to meet YS Jagan on edu issues

The members of the Students Federation of India (SFI) would meet leader of the Opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday to request the latter to oppose privatization of educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh.

The SFI members have been opposing the government's move to privatise and commercialise of the education in the state that would encourage private players to open educational institutions in the state.
The SFI strongly feels that the Government should improve facilities in government colleges rather than privatising education.
The SFI members also said that they sought an appointment with Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao but they were refused.
"We will meet YS Jagan Mohna Reddy and request him to oppose when the bill comes to the Assembly," the SFI members said.
