Senior Journalist Ravinder Dasari is Dead
Hyderabad: Ravinder Dasari, PRO of Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajender died here on Saturday afternoon, following an unsuccessful brain surgery.
Ravinder (42), who hails from Jagitial Mandal in Karimnagar had been suffering from neurological issues for some time now. A week ago, he was admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad with severe headache. A group of 10 doctors performed a brain surgery on Wednesday night. After placing stents during the surgery, few blood clots were found. Later, they performed another surgery due to which he was left brain dead. However, on Saturday afternoon he was declared dead by the doctors.
Finance Minister Etela Rajender and Health Minister Charlakola Laxma Reddy expressed their condolences to the family members of the deceased. Meanwhile, Minister Harish Rao announced the indefinite postponement of Mission Kakatiya Media Awards following the death of Ravinder Dasari.
Ravinder, who is married to Saritha and has two children, had been working with the Minister for the past two years. Previously, he worked as a journalist for Gemini TV, ETV, Sakshi and TV5. The staff and management of Sakshi Media Group condoled the death of Ravinder Dasari. Several senior journalists including Devulapally Amar, Ravi Prakash, Andhra Jyothi Bureau Chief Srinivas and Ramana and journalist unions condoled the death of the Ravinder Dasari.
His last rites will be performed on Sunday at his native village in Karimnagar district.
