'Rs.1100 crores needed for Godavari pushkaras'

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu announced that Godavari Pushkarams would be held in July next year.

“The dates of Pushkarams will be announced within a week,” said the minister.

The cabinet sub-committee met in Rajahmnudry on Friday to discuss on the arrangements of pushkaras. “In the meeting, we have discussed where the pushkara ghats  can be formed,” said Yanamala.

The minister said that they are expecting that an amount of Rs.1100 crores is needed for making the arrangements for the pushkaras.

He reminded that an amount of Rs.100 crores was spent for last Godavari pushkaras.

“We will use the funds of various temples for making arrangements for the pushkaras,” said the minister.

In the meet, the ministers N Chinna Rajappa, Narayana and others participated.
