Officials evict inhabitants of illegal huts

The government officials evicted hundreds of illegal huts who were living in illegal huts which had cropped up on the government land, at  Sayyadh Nagar in Hanamkonda on Saturday.

The officials pressed into service JCB for clearing the huts. As per the direction of the district administration, the officials started eviction drive in the wee hours of Saturday.

As the labourers opposed the move, the officials started clearing the huts using the JCB. However, there was a rift between the labourers and police when the labourers tried to obstruct the eviction.
