TSRTC Bus Services In Hyderabad City May Resume From June 5th

HYDERABAD: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is sketching out plans to resume its services in Hyderabad. Already, the government of Telangana has lifted the restrictions on plying buses intrastate except for the city buses in Hyderabad. The government has eased restrictions in lockdown 4.0; all the public, private and industrial activities have started.

People are struggling with the lack of city buses. So, it is expected that the TSRTC is going to begin the city services from the first week of June. The officials are waiting for a nod from the state government to take a call on allowing city buses from June 5th. It's been more than two months since the city buses have not transported the passengers.

On a regular basis, more than 33 lakh people used to travel on buses. The city services have been stopped due to the coronavirus stimulated lockdown. As all the companies and industries have started, people are looking at other alternatives for their travel. With corona scare, people are using their own vehicles to reach out to their offices. It is expected that the traffic in the city is going to increase once the lockdown is lifted.

It is going to be a challenge for the RTC to run the buses by restricting the number of passengers in every bus as maintaining physical distance has become the top priority during this COVID-19 times.
