Youth Murders Girlfriend Over Bucket Of Water In Jharkhand

Ranchi: A lovers' tiff over a bucket of water led to a girl's murder in Mahisabeda village in West Singhbhum of Jharkhand. Angered with his girlfriend not fetching him a bucket of water for his bath, a youth murdered her. According to the police, the young couple had been in a relationship for sometime.

On Saturday, they went out shopping and returned to the girl's rented house. Later, the youth, who wanted to have a bath, asked his girlfriend to fetch a pail of water. She asked him to fetch it himself in reply. Her response led to a heated argument between the two.

The angered youth attacked his girlfriend and her female friend with a knife. While his girlfriend died on the spot, he friend was shifted to the Chakradharpur hospital. Police have registed a case, sent the body for post-mortem and are probing the matter.
