Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the 'Purnahuthi' (closure) session of Sri Maharudrasahita Dwisahasra Chandiyaaga Deeksha ritual held on Monday.
The ceremony was held at the CSR Kalyana Mandapam at Tadepally in Guntur on Monday (July 1) at 10.25 am.
The Yagam which was being conducted since 23 months for his well being, ended with YS Jagan performing the 'Purnahuthi' amidst Vedic chanting and mantras by the priests who blessed him.
After the Pooja, the Chief Minister presented shawls and gold bracelets to the priests who conducted the ritual.

YSRCP leaders V Vijayasai Reddy, TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy and Chief Minister's Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy participated in the event.
The Chandiyagam was being performed from July 29, 2017 till June 29, 2019 for the success of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's election campaign, where he was declared winner on May 23 this year.
Meanwhile TTD Chairman on Sunday conducted a surprise inspection in Tirumala. He inspected the queue lines, Vaikuntham queue complex, Srivari temple, Narayana Giri park and the temple Kitchens . The Chairman said that they were mooting the idea of plying electric buses in Tirumala. He also spoke about experimenting by making the laddoo prasadam with steam in the 'Boondi potu' kitchen. He also mentioned that they were devising measures of improving and speeding up darshan for the devotees who come to the temple.
