Truth About Whatsapp Forward On Female Mirage Pilot Who Led Balakot Airstrike  

The IAF airstrikes at Balakot saw a surge in WhatsApp forwards across the country hailing the defence forces. Among them were some fake videos and pictures such as the one which had a photograph of Sneha Shekawat, the nation's first female fighter pilot to lead the IAF squadron at the Republic Day Parade.

Her photograph was shared as a part of a message, shared widely hailing her as one of the fighter pilots of the Tuesday morning Balakot air strike on the JeM terror camps.

The WhatsApp forward identified about Urvisha Jariwala, an alumnus of Bhulka Bhavan school in Surat. The message stated "Proud to inform you that the pilot of today's air strike is a girl from Bhulka Bhavan school at Surat". Alongside the message was a picture of Sneha Shekawat. For added effect, it said delete as soon as you see.
