Narayana Murthy is Research Centre Imarat

Eminent scientist and a Regional Engineering College (REC), Warangal alumni BHVS Narayana Murthy has been appointed director of the Hyderabad-based Research Centre Imarat (RCI) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Murthy is involved in tactical and strategic missile programmes for over three days and made a significant contribution to the design, development and delivery of onboard computers, missile launch processors, real-time mission softwares.
RCI was established in 1988 under the leadership of Abdul Kalam who envisioned building a world class research centre at Hyderabad and led the laboratory as its founding director.

Established in 1988 under the stewardship of ‘missile man’APJ Abdul Kalam, RCI is a premier DRDO laboratory working on the design, development and delivery of state-of-the-art avionics systems for Indian missile development programme.
