Naidu's call for all-party meet brought peril to AP
Remember how many obstructions TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu faced before entering the Telangana region during his 'Vastunna Meekosam' Padayatra.
Although he managed to cruise through the region despite protests, he had to face the ire of Telangana activists wherever he went.
To escape flak and of course to turn the pro-Telangana activists to his side, Naidu demanded the Congress hold an all-party meeting to resolve the Telangana issue. He also wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh demanding an all-party meeting to solve the contentious issue.
To his shock, the Congress High Command called for an all-party meeting on the issue. Worried Chandrababu Naidu resent the letter which was given to the Centre in 2008.
All the political parties attended the meeting and expressed their views. The 'sleeping Congress' got serious about Telangana from then on.
Many feel that Naidu's simple strategy to complete his padayatra in Telangana region has put the state in such condition now.
