Visakhapatnam man feared dead in INS Sindhurakshak explosion

A huge explosion accompanied by a fire rocked an Indian Navy submarine docked at the high security naval dockyard early on Wednesday.

According to latest reports coming in, Rajesh, 30-year-old sailor from Pedagamtyada in Visakhapatnam district was feared killed in the explosion. The family members of Rajesh plunged into deep grief.

It is learnt that eighteen sailors are feared trapped in the fire..The submarine has submerged with only a part of it visible.

Rescue operations are on. Navy divers among others, are on the job.

"I feel sad about those navy personnel who lost their lives for the country," Defence Minister Antony told reporters outside parliament.
