Man Booked For Blasphemous Post On Facebook

Hyderabad: Tension escalated at Santoshnagar police as scores protested on Sunday after a blasphemous post on Facebook hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims by one Vijaya Kumar Kanhaiya.

South Zone DCP V. Satyanarayana said that 10 days back they receive similar reports on this and found that the original poster is some ultra-right wing person from Chicago and again it got escalated as people got hands on the post against shared it on social media

Police registered a case against Vijay under section 153a and 295a of the IPC for posting objectionable posts of the Kaaba, which is a building at the center of Islam's most sacred mosque. The complaint was lodged by Mirza Nayeem Baig who belongs to Jamal Colony, Santoshnagar.
