Major relief to AP Capital area farmers

In a big relief to the capital area farmers, the AP High Court on Friday ruled that the farmers can cultivate the lands that they gave to the land-pooling.

The HC order is being seen as a setback to the AP Government, which has given orders to the farmers not to cultivate in the lands.

Earlier, the HC has ordered that all those who gave the form 9.3 expressing their willingness to give lands for land-pooling, can take back if there is a change of mind. This has benefited some 300 farmers. Friday’s ruling will enable all those farmers who had given their lands, to continue tilling their lands.

YSRCP MLA  Ramakrishna Reddy hailed the verdict and said the TDP government could have taken non-arable highlands and left out fertile lands. The latest verdict has proved to be a big relief for the farmers, he said.
