TDP anti-worker policies flayed - Sakshi Post

YSR Congress has said that TDP has been continuing with its anti-worker policies and is showing undue favour to privatization and also demanded to roll back the oil prices which would burden all sections of society.

“Though the global prices of crude oil have drastically fallen, the Centre and State Governments have increased the prices of petrol and diesel drastically which will have a cascading effect in the market economy and we demand the rollback of prices,” party official spokesperson Jogi Ramesh told reporters on Friday.

When the prices fall in dollars, it is reduced in paise and when it goes up it is passed on to the consumer adding VAT and other taxes. While the price of crude oil per barrel was $ 104.97 when the NDA came to power, it has now fallen to $ 59.63 and the difference does not reflect in the petrol and diesel prices but on the contrary has been increasing constantly. We demand the State and Central Governments to revoke the hike, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu, speaking on the May Day with regard to welfare of workers is ridiculous as his Government has been following the path of privatization vigorously. He has assured before elections that employees in the unorganized sector will get jobs after TDP gets to power but many workers lost jobs in Anganwadi kendras and under Rythumitra scheme.

During Chandrabaru’s nine-year-rule, 54 industries were closed down in the State while the nationwide figure is 84. His penchant for privatization has rendered 40,000 jobless, he said.

“His tall claims at Visakhapatnam that Rs 37,000 crores would come in as investments has no substance as he has also said that the investments would create 72,000 new jobs which translates to two jobs for Rs 1 crore,” he said.

On the High Court verdict in favour of Thulluru farmers, Jogi Ramesh said, “We welcome the verdict. The farmers who are not willing to part with their land always have the support of our Party.”
