Liquor recovered from AAP candidate's home

In an embarassment to Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, the police recovered over 5000 liquor bottles from party's Uttam Nagar candidate Naresh Balyan. An FIR has been lodged against Balyan for violating the Model Code of Conduct.

The incident tarnished the clean image of the party and there has been a criticism that Balyan is known for his corrupt practices as an MCD councillor. He is an independent councillor, who has been given ticket by the AAP.
However, Balyan claimed that the liquor did not belong to him and that the raided house was a property belonging to a BJP worker.
