Kodela proposes, Yanamala disposes - Sakshi Post

Andhra Pradesh Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, it appears, has scored a browny point over Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad.

While Kodela wanted the next session of the assembly to be held in and around Vijayawada or Guntur, Yanamala insisted on holding the sessions in Hyderabad only. He not only pressed for it, but even roped in other ministers to convince the AP Cabinet to approve the proposal. Thus, the next sessions of the Assembly would again be held in Hyderabad.
With Chandrababu and several members of his cabinet operating from Vijayawada, Speaker Kodela felt that the assembly sessions should be held in Guntur district. He even got surveys conducted on the feasibility of holding the session either at the Hailand or at the KL University. Even Chandrababu was reportedly convinced about holding the session on the KL University premises.
However, Yanamala, who announced in the last session that the next session would be held at Hyderabad, mobilised support from the ministers and ensured that the cabinet, which met on January 25, decides in favour of Hyderabad. Minister Acham Naidu said holding a session on a private land could invite criticism and would involve massive expenditure. The ministers made Chandrababu announce that the session would be held at Hyderabad only.
Kodela is reportedly not happy at the decision as this was against his efforts to hold a session in Guntur, his home district.
