KCR tells Srija to become an IAS officer
As promised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao visited child prodigy Srija at her house in Khammam on Wednesday. He was accompanied by Member of Parliament Kavith Kalvakuntla and Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao.
They spoke to Srija for 18 minutes and were surprised when they heard her recite about Telangana formation.
KCR blessed Srija and stated that she must study hard and become an IAS officer. MP Kavitha suggested that Srija must be joined in a good school in Hyderabad.
When Srija's parents said that given a chance, Srija would speak about the aim of Telanagana formation in two minutes at Telangana plenary meet, which is scheduled to happen on Wednesday in Khammam, KCR immediately accepted.
It may be recalled that KCR who was highly impressed by a third grader's knowledge of Telangana history and culture, gifted her with a cheque of Rs. 10 lakh. The little girl reeled out statistics, dates, numbes and narrated historic events. She explained about each minister and his portfolio and even explained about the current TRS rule in poems of legendary poet Potana.
KCR congratulated Srija and lauded her spontaneity. He had also told the little girl that he would one day sup at her home.
