Research scholars completing five years must vacate campus: UoH VC

Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) VC Appa Rao has asked such research scholars as those who have completed five years to vacate the hostel irrespective whether they have complete their research or not.

Appa Rao directed the Deans of various departments to send the list of research scholars who have completed the stipulated five year tenure in the campus. Meanwhile, the students allege that VC is taking vengeance against them and has henceforth issued the orders.

Earlier, the research scholars could extend the duration of their stay on the campus to complete the project with prior permission from their respective Dean. Ambedkar Association convener Munna and SC, ST faculty has also accused VC of trying to force the students to leave campus by removing the clause that allowed them to extend their stay.
