Jagan expresses grief over Bipin Chandra's death

YSRCP chief and the leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed deep shock over the demise of eminent Indian historian Bipan Chandra.

In a statement, Jagan said Bipin Chandra was one of our most respected authors and whose books are guding lights for the study of Indian History. His famous books like "The Making of Modern India: From Marx to Gandhi", "History of Modern India" and "The Rise and Growth of Economic Nationalism" would continue to guide the students for generations to come, he said.

Bipan Chandra passed away in his sleep Saturday morning, family members said. He was 86. He died at his home in Gurgaon.
