ISIS Sympathiser From Krishna District Arrested For Planning Terror Attacks In Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A 22-year-old youngster, believed to be an ISIS sympathiser, was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) from an apartment near Tolichowki in Hyderabad for allegedly planning to launch a terror attack in the city.
According to the police, the ISIS sympathesir was indentified as Konakalla Satyanarayana, a native of Challapally in Krishna district. He was attracted to radicalism and was converted into Islam in 2014. He then changed his name to Omar and started a campaign on social media to motivate the youth towards the ISIS.
The IS sympathiser had also visited Gujarat and Kashmir where he had taken training in planning terror attacks. Several CDs, documents related to the ISIS and Islam have been seized from Satyanarayan's room.
