Principal Arrested For Misbehaving With Student
Hyderabad: The principal of a private school was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly misbehaved with a 13-year-old girl student during school hours at Neredmet here in the city.
The girl, who is a student of class 9 in Samaritan High School at Neredmet lodged a complaint with the Neredmet police against principal A. Vishwanath(43) for misbehaving with her at the school on June 20, Neredmet inspector M. Jagadish Chander said.
"During the school interval, when her classmates were outside, the girl was alone in the classroom doing some classwork. Vishwanath, who was on rounds, then went to her and made unwanted gestures and comments,” the inspector added.
Following the complaint a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act was registered and the accused was arrested on Thursday and sent to judicial remand.
