Srinagar: Police on Saturday recovered the body of an army soldier, who was on leave, in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.

Police said the body of Irfan Ahmad Dar was found with bullet marks in Keegam area of Shopian district on Saturday morning.

According to police, Dar was posted in the border town of Gurez in Bandipora. He had come home on leave. "It looks like a militant killing but we are finding out the exact motive behind the soldier's murder," police said.
