How long will Shankar Rao evade police?
The Cantonment MLA, Shankar Rao and his brother, who are accused of trying to illegally occupy 875 plots in Green Fields Colony in Kanajiguda, are still absconding and evasive from the Cyberabad police who want to question him.
The family members of Shankar Rao say that he's gone to Shanishignapur near Shirdi to offer prayers. The police also said that he left his Musheerabad house on October 13 before they could question him. Since then, he has remained inaccessible to the police or any leaders except some Congress ministers.
Considering Shanishignapur isn't far away from the city, it shouldn't take more than three days to reach there and return. And if he's an MLA, then much faster. However, looks like Shankar Rao is in deep meditation.
According to sources in the Congress party, Shankar Rao had spoken to Chief Minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy and urged him to prevent his arrest. It is being learn't that he is also constantly consulting lawyers and associates to take advice on escapist ways.
It may be recalled that the residents of the Green Fields Colony in Kanajiguda village had lodged a complaint that Shankar Rao and his brother Dayanand were trying to illegally occupy 875 plots by producing fake documents, showing them to be the owners. Based on a complaint, the Cyberabad police registered a case against him.
Shankar Rao has got a stay on the issue of warrant from the court, which was vacated by the High Court recently. After the court rejected the stay, the police are making every possible effort to arrest him.
SP View: Shankar Rao will be neither traceable nor visible in public till the evidence is tampered. However, if the police used all its force and wits, catching him should be a cakewalk!
