Heavy rain in Madanapalli, girl dies of lightning

A 13-year-old girl dies of lightning following heavy rain accompanied by thunders and strong gales at Malepadu village near Madanapalli of Chittoor district on Sunday evening.
According to reports, the girl was killed when the lightning struck. Heavy rain lashed the area and vehicular traffic came to a halt in Madanapalli and surrounding areas due to rain.
